He added that the proceedings against another e-commerce major have been closed after it demonstrated proof of how the products sold on its platform mentioned the country of origin as mandated in the law.
The Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodity) Rules, which came into effect in 2018, mandates every seller to display the country of origin on all packaged items.
